Young Musicians Competition for Instrument and Voice

Competition Sponsors: The John M. and Bernice Parrott Foundation & Quinte Symphony

The Young Musicians Competition for Instrument and Voice held every two years, gives young instrumentalists or vocal students an opportunity to polish a concerto or a work for voice from the standard orchestral repertoire, and is adjudicated by a jury.  This competition is not open to attendance by the public.

This competition is open to those who meet the conditions of entry. Refer to the application form for details regarding the conditions of entry and application process. Deadline for filing applications is in the spring of competition year.

In addition to a cash award, the winner may be invited by Maestro Gordon Craig to perform as a featured soloist with Quinte Symphony during the next season.

We wish to thank The John M. and Bernice Parrott Memorial Foundation for their ongoing support of this Quinte Symphony initiative that encourages the development of young musicians.  We also wish to thank Albert College for the use of their space and pianos.
