Music Director and Guest Conductors
Music Director/Conductor - Gordon Craig
Mr. Craig brings with him wide and diversified experience in the field of music. He obtained his Bachelor of Music degree from Queen's University and his Master of Science in Music Education in Performance from the Crane School of Music in Potsdam, New York. He is currently a Professor and Director of a number of musical groups at Queen's University, and holds a teaching position with the Crane School of Music in New York, as well as being the Music Director for the Kingston Youth Orchestra.
Mr. Craig has performed widely in the United States and Canada as soloist and recitalist. He currently holds the chair of Principal Clarinetist for the Kingston Symphony Orchestra and also acts as a band and instrument adjudicator at various music festivals. In addition, his time is devoted to solo performances with the Kingston Symphony and many chamber groups.
With Mr. Craig's patient ability to work with the variety of ages and talents found in a community orchestra, we continue to grow musically.
